Our History

Colleen Safford
Colleen Safford is both a dedicated dog owner & and formally educated dog trainer. Colleen received a degree in Psychology from The Ohio State University. She is dedicated to using training methods based on the principles of learning theory, to ensure that training is simple & fun for both you and your dog.

Colleen is the premier trainer for TFH Nylabone,s DVD and book series of "A New Owner's Guide to Owning and (fill in your breed!)."

Colleen was certified by the Delta Society as a Pet Partners Team Evaluator and Instructor. In addition, she has served as the Chairperson of the Sponsorship Committee for the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT). Colleen teaches puppy classes, private lessons & therapy dog class with Andrea Arden Dog Training. She is committed to raising awareness about animal shelter over population, and is a volunteer with the Animal Haven Adoption Center. Colleen is proudly owned by Luna, a rescued boxer!"

Lisa Siriporn
Officially called Manager or Little Bow Wow, Lisa started with New York Walk & Train four and a half years ago. As a dog walker in the Soho and West Village areas, Lisa loved spending time with our slobbery clients while celebrity spotting all day. She LOVED coming home each night covered in fur and drool! We plucked her off the streets however, and brought her into the office to help handle and manage the day to day operations and invoicing of New York Walk & Train. She is our bill collector, our heavy. Ok, not really. She is the syrpy sweetest best friend to all the dogs she dotes on and boards. Lisa is dog behavior and training savvy as a senior apprentice with our dog training program.
